Enhance Students’ Literacy with Technology-Based Teacher Supports

Are you looking for ways to improve your teachers’ implementation of evidence-based literacy practices in content areas?

Project READS (Reading and Writing Advancement with Digital Supports) is a research initiative designed to help teachers in grades 5-8 to implement a technology-based literacy intervention that improves students’ reading and writing outcomes with science nonfiction texts.

How It Works:

Teachers receive free professional development and ongoing support to implement the literacy intervention with instructional multimedia slides.

•Students engage with digital science texts using the PARS (Preview, Ask, Read, Summarize) reading strategy.

•Schools receive research-based insights on student progress and outcomes.
